From Repeated Lockouts to Keypad Entry
We had helped this customer with apartment lockouts several times before. On this visit, his keys were once again inside the apartment while he was locked outside.
Our technician picked the existing lock and restored access without damaging the door or hardware. With the immediate lockout resolved, the customer chose to upgrade to a keypad deadbolt rather than continue relying solely on a traditional key.
We installed an electronic touchscreen deadbolt in a satin nickel finish. The lock allows entry using a personalized access code and includes a mechanical key cylinder for backup access.
After securing the new deadbolt, we programmed the customer’s chosen code and tested the locking mechanism and operation. He could now unlock his apartment using the keypad, giving him an alternative when his keys were left inside.
