New Entrance Locks and Convenient Access for Showings
We unlocked the front door so the owner could regain entry. We then removed the existing locks and installed a new keyed deadbolt with a matching entry door knob.
Replacing the hardware changed keyed access at this entrance, so the previous tenants’ old keys could no longer operate the replacement locks. The owner could secure the house again and move forward with preparing it for showings.
To make those appointments easier to manage, we also fitted a combination realtor lockbox to the door knob. The lockbox holds the house key and allows authorized real estate agents who have the combination to retrieve it.
This arrangement means the owner does not need to travel to the property simply to hand over a key for every scheduled showing. Agents can use the key to enter and return it to the lockbox afterward.
The completed job addressed three connected needs: restoring entry, replacing the existing locks, and providing a practical way to share access during the sale. The property was accessible again, with new entrance hardware and a lockbox for authorized showings.
