Programming and Testing All Four Smart Keys

Our technician arrived directly at the vehicle, confirmed the RAM’s key system and selected compatible push-to-start smart keys. With no working key remaining, this was an all-keys-lost job rather than a duplication from an existing key.

Using automotive diagnostic equipment, we connected to the truck’s onboard computer and accessed its key programming system. We registered each new smart key individually so the RAM would recognize all four.

Once programming was complete, we checked each key separately. Testing included push-to-start operation, the lock and unlock buttons, the panic function and proximity recognition. We also checked the remote features to confirm that each key communicated correctly with the vehicle.
