Preparing and Programming the New Infiniti Smart Key
We first verified ownership and identified the correct replacement key specifications for the vehicle. Since there was no original key to duplicate, we obtained the necessary cutting information and prepared the emergency mechanical blade.
Our technician then used professional diagnostic programming equipment to register the new smart key with the Infiniti’s immobilizer system. This step allowed the vehicle to recognize the replacement key and authorize push-button starting.
After programming, we tested key recognition, push-to-start operation, remote locking and unlocking, and the emergency blade. The customer received a fully functioning replacement and could drive the QX60 again.
