Code-Based Office Entry with Mechanical Key Backup
We installed a commercial electronic keypad lever lock in a satin chrome finish. The exterior keypad allows authorized users to enter an access code and operate the lever, giving the owner an entry option when his keys are still inside.
The lock also includes a mechanical key override for backup access. This provides another way to operate the lock when needed, alongside its electronic entry function.
Our technician carefully fitted the hardware to the office door and checked the latch alignment with the frame. We programmed the access code and tested the locking mechanism and handle operation from both sides to confirm smooth operation.
For an office, the ability to change access codes is another practical benefit. When staffing changes, the owner can update code-based access without issuing replacement physical keys to every authorized user. Any concerns about previously distributed backup keys can be addressed separately.
