Opening the Front Door Without Drilling

When we arrived, we examined the door and inspected the locking hardware. We determined that a non-destructive entry method was suitable for this particular lockout.

The entrance has a muted green door with decorative raised panels, a brass-colored lever handle, and a separate round deadbolt above it. White trim surrounds the door, with weatherstripping along the edge.

We used a professional inflatable air wedge and a specialized latch-release tool to open the door. Throughout the work, we took care around the painted surfaces, weatherstripping, and frame.

The black air wedge used during the job is visible beside the door’s edge. It connects to a blue hand-operated pump through a clear flexible tube, with a small control valve beside the pump. This equipment allowed us to manage the working space carefully during the opening.

We successfully released the spring latch and opened the door without drilling the lock or replacing any of the existing hardware. The homeowner regained access to her house and could continue using her original locks and keys.

Before leaving, we inspected the lock and tested the door to confirm that everything continued operating properly. This completed the residential lockout service with the door, frame, and locking hardware intact.
