Code-Based Entry for a Restricted Records Room
We installed a heavy-duty commercial electronic keypad lever lock in a satin nickel finish. The hardware combines a numeric push-button keypad with a lever handle and an integrated mechanical key override cylinder.
Authorized staff can operate the lock using an access code, reducing the need to carry or share keys during the workday. The mechanical cylinder provides a separate backup access option when required.
Our technician fitted the locking assembly to the door and checked the latch alignment. We adjusted the installation so the latch could engage correctly with the frame and release smoothly when the handle was operated.
After configuring the keypad, we tested code entry and mechanical key operation. We also checked the handle and latch movement to confirm that the completed installation worked properly.
The ability to update access codes gives management a practical way to change keypad access when staffing or internal responsibilities change. Backup keys remain a separate access method and need to be managed accordingly.
