A Compact Keyed Lock for the Existing Cabinet
We recommended a compact cabinet lock suited to the customer’s request. This allowed us to add keyed access while retaining the original cabinet doors and knobs.
Our technician measured the installation area and prepared the mounting hole for the lock cylinder. Careful positioning was important: the lock needed to fit the door and engage correctly when the cabinet was closed.
We fitted the metal cylinder and aligned the locking mechanism so the customer could lock and unlock the cabinet smoothly. The finished installation placed the small, round lock above the existing cabinet knob, keeping the added hardware compact and visually unobtrusive.
After installation, we tested the key and mechanism several times to confirm proper operation. We also checked that the cabinet door continued to open and close normally.
