Replacement Key Service with Automotive Programming Equipment
This job involved both preparing a replacement key and programming it for the vehicle. For the transponder system described in this project, the mechanical blade and electronic chip serve different purposes: the blade operates the matching lock, while the programmed chip allows the vehicle’s immobilizer to recognize the key.
Our technician used professional AUTEL automotive key programming equipment as part of the service. The project photo shows the AUTEL programmer inside the Nissan, alongside the vehicle’s steering wheel and key equipment.
By bringing automotive key equipment to the customer, we handled the replacement service at the vehicle rather than requiring the customer to bring it to a locksmith shop.
